Le Lingue Lessons è il format che propone lezioni online, veri e propri laboratori didattici dedicati alla letteratura inglese, pensati per favorire un insegnamento dinamico e coinvolgente. Ogni lezione è un’opportunità per esplorare insieme temi di ampio respiro, capaci di stimolare pensiero critico e partecipazione. This lesson explores the concept of the “hero” in English literature, questioning whether traditional heroes have become obsolete in contemporary societies. Examining key works from different literary periods—from Beowulf and Shakespearean drama to the novels of the 20th and 21st centuries—we will consider how changes in our society, philosophy and culture have reshaped our understanding of heroism.

In English literature, war poets are the most famous group of writers but there’s much more related to the topic “war and literatureù”. This lesson will focus on writers and poets that have used literature to resist, remember and understand some of the darkes pages of our history.
